UTICA – St. Elizabeth Medical Center provides a Household Sharps Disposal Program for people who want to dispose of sharp medical instruments such as insulin hypodermic needles.
The program is open to individuals from private residences, not businesses.
Sharp instruments, packed in a puncture-proof container and clearly marked as “sharps,” may be brought to the Hospital Services Department, located in the basement of the Medical Center, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. (excluding holidays).
