He received his Doctor of Osteopathy Degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, ME, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, Boston. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians; and member of the New York State Academy of Family Practice; Medical Society of the State of New York; the Oneida County Medical Society; American College of Physician Executives; American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Warfel and his wife, Katie, reside in Clinton. They are the parents of six children. |

He completed Residencies in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine at SUNY Buffalo, where he went on to complete a Fellowship in cardiovascular disease. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He is a member of the American Medical Association; Five County Medical Society; Medical Society of the State of New York; Central New York Fellowship Society Academy of Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Talarico is an affiliate of the Mohawk Valley Heart Institute. He is a former president of the local volunteer board of the American Heart Association. He and his wife, Rosemary, reside in Utica. He has two adult daughters, Heather and Lauren, and a step-son, Michael Maurizo. |
![]() | Dr. Joyce is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon with the Mohawk Valley Surgery Group. Originally from Rhode Island, Dr. Joyce received his Medical Degree from Aarhus University, Aarhus, Denmark. He has been a cardiothoracic surgeon with the Mohawk Valley Heart Institute since it began in 1997. Dr. Joyce is board certified in thoracic surgery by the Danish Ministry of Health, Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons; the American Society of Echocardiography; Medical Society of the State of New York; Central New York Academy of Medicine; the Utica Medical Club and the American College of Phlebology. He and his wife, Lynn Luthern, are the parents of two children, a daughter, Morgan, and a son, Julian. |
