UTICA, N.Y. -- The St. Elizabeth Medical Center (SEMC) Guild has elected its officers for 2016 and installed them at a February luncheon meeting. Officers are: President Carole Nunziata, Past President and Vice President Linda Kurtyka, Treasurer Margaret Lalonde, Assistant Treasurer Shirley Rice, Recording Secretary Mary Byrd, Corresponding Secretary Carole Nunziata and Assistant Corresponding Secretary Angel Scates. Theresa Jadlowski and Shirley Rice were installed as members of the Board of Directors.
The Guild is a volunteer organization that holds functions and events throughout the year to raise funds to benefit SEMC. The Guild also provides scholarships to the St. Elizabeth College of Nursing, has members who sews pillows monthly to provide to heart surgery patients and members who volunteer their time at various departments throughout SEMC.
The Guild recently made a $15,000 donation through the St. Elizabeth Foundation toward the purchase of BloodTrack Emerge equipment at the SEMC Laboratory.
