MVHS Names Vice President of Operations

Shannon Mathewson, MBA, PCMH CCE

UTICA, N.Y. – Shannon Mathewson, MBA, PCMH CCE, has been named vice president of Operations at the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS). In this role, she will assume responsibilities for the Pharmacy, Rehabilitation Services, Respiratory Care, Imaging Services, the Sleep Disorders Center and Advanced Wound Care.

Mathewson has been employed at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare since 1996 and served as director of Operations for the MVHS Medical Group since May 2007. She accepted additional responsibilities as the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) Program Coordinator in September 2015.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York, her Master of Business Administration from State University of New York Institute of Technology in Utica, New York, and has also earned certification from the National Committee for Quality Assurance as a Patient Centered Medical Home Content Expert.
