The College of Nursing has announced the opening of a new Continuing Education and Career Center, located on the first floor of the College building in Room 109. The Center was the creative brainstorm of Donna Ernst, former Recruitment Director for the College who is now the Director of Human Resources for the Medical Center. The Center was further developed by the Enrollment Manager Assistant, Samantha Rouillier, with assistance from other College Senior Staff members.
The room houses four computers and a printer for online searches and reviews of various colleges that offer advanced education at the baccalaureate level and beyond. College brochures and catalogs are available as well as information on resume writing, interviewing skills, and portfolio development. Job opportunities and applications (for students and graduates) are also posted in the Center.
The Continuing Education and Career Center is open to all College students as well as nurses who are employed at the Medical Center. The Center is open Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and until 6 p.m. on Wednesday evenings. College staff is available on call if any questions arise or there is a need for assistance in navigating a job or continuing education search. Come by and see what the College Career Center can offer you.
