We are proud to announce that a private Lactation Room has been built for employees of the Medical Center.
The Mohawk Valley Perinatal Network, Inc.consulted on the room and also made a $100 donation toward its construction.
Assisting employees after childbirth and providing this type of dedicated space can have significant benefits to employers, including the following:

- Reduction in sick time taken by both moms and dads for children's illnesses
- Lower health care and insurance costs
The Mohawk Valley Perinatal Network, Inc. is a 501(c)3, not-for-profit organization that has been serving families in Herkimer and Oneida Counties since 1996.Their mission is to improve birth outcomes and maternal, child and family health and facilitate collaboration among providers and community organizations.
